Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Cafe/Bistro Manager to lead our vibrant establishment. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to manage a dynamic team within a welcoming environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a thorough understanding of food preparation and service.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of daily café/bistro operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold company standards
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency in line with health and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage food production, ensuring timely service during busy periods
  • Serve customers when necessary, providing a friendly and professional experience
  • Maintain compliance with food safety standards, including hygiene protocols and food handling procedures
  • Organise training sessions for staff on food safety, service excellence, and operational procedures
  • Monitor financial performance, optimise sales opportunities, and manage stock levels efficiently
  • Handle customer feedback or complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Ensure the cafe/bistro environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example and foster a positive work environment
  • Familiarity with culinary practices, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations
  • Previous experience in hospitality roles such as barista or hotel service is advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of service
