Job Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Barista to join our busy team at The Olive Tree!

We’re a friendly, independent coffee shop looking for someone who loves making great coffee, enjoys chatting to customers and is happy working in a busy, fast paced environment.

We take pride in what we do, so we’re after someone who has a good eye for detail, works well as part of a team and can keep smiling even when things get hectic!

Previous Barista experience is essential for this role. We’re looking for someone who is already confident using a professional coffee machine and can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

What the job involves:

● Making and serving great coffee, teas and other drinks to a consistently high standard.

● Being confident using a professional coffee machine, including grinding, extracting espresso and steaming milk.

● Providing friendly, efficient customer service and making everyone feel welcome.

● Taking orders, using the till and handling payments.

● Helping out with serving food when needed.

● Helping keep the coffee shop clean, tidy and well organised, not just the coffee area.

● Getting stuck into the washing up! We’re a busy coffee shop, so there’s plenty of it, and everyone is expected to muck in.

● Keeping on top of cleaning, restocking and general jobs throughout the day.

● Following food hygiene and safety standards.

● Working well as part of a team and being happy to help out wherever needed.

● Staying calm, organised and efficient during busy periods.

Pay: £12.71-£13.21 per hour
