Full job description

Tired of short staffing, constant interruptions, and never having enough time with your patients?

This Community Nurse role offers a genuine alternative to ward-based nursing, supporting adults in their own homes across Devon. You’ll work with manageable caseloads, fewer distractions, and the freedom to focus on high-quality, person-centred care.

This role is designed for nurses who want to slow the pace, regain control of their day, and practise nursing the way it should be. You’ll work independently but never in isolation, with strong clinical support and a clear weekday structure that protects your work–life balance.

Package & Benefits

  • Salary £35,000–£39,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Fully expensed company car and fuel card or car allowance of £4,877.50 plus mileage
  • 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, with the option to buy more
  • NMC fees paid
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Mobile phone and tablet provided
About the Company

You’ll be joining a nationally recognised community healthcare provider focused on delivering unrushed, high-quality care in patients’ homes. The organisation prioritises clinical autonomy, continuity of care, and supporting nurses to work safely and sustainably outside of hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and contribute to ongoing care planning for adult patients
  • Deliver hands-on clinical care while providing education, reassurance, and support to patients and carers
  • Work collaboratively with local NHS services and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation, and patient safety
About You

  • Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in adult nursing within a hospital or community setting
If you’re considering a move into community nursing and want a role where you can spend proper time with your patients, we’d love to talk. Contact Sam at Leaders in Care on 07828 876 725 for more information or a confidential discussion.
