Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Door Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. This role involves servicing, installing, and maintaining various door systems, ensuring they meet safety and functionality standards. A background in commercial driving is advantageous, as it may be required for transporting materials or equipment to job sites.

Duties

• Install and maintain a variety of door types, including commercial and industrial doors.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure doors are functioning correctly and safely.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Operate machinery and tools safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in engineering or related fields.
• Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to safety practices and protocols at all times.

You will be part of a large dedicated team of Auto Door and Roller shutter engineers nationwide, you will be servicing and/or installing roller shutters and Auto Doors across the UK. We are based in Bradford, UK and the majority of the work will be on the road, however there may be instances where you may be required to attend the head office for company wide training, supplies, maintenance of the company vehicle and company events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
