Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automatic Door & Access Control Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves , installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated door systems and access control solutions across various commercial and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in network integration with a a good knowledge of Paxton NET 2 Systems . This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a reputable organization committed to safety, innovation, and quality service.

Duties

  • Install, commission, and maintain automatic door systems and access control hardware, ensuring compliance with safety standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct system diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve operational issues efficiently.
  • Integrate access control systems with computer networking and telecommunication infrastructure, including CCTV and IDS components..
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely to carry out installation tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure project requirements are met within deadlines.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to optimise system performance and longevity.
  • Document work activities thoroughly for compliance records and future reference.

Experience

  • Proven experience in electrical or mechanical engineering related to automated systems or access control solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking, computer hardware, CCTV systems, and Paxton NET 2 .
  • Practical understanding of construction processes relevant to installing access control devices in various environments.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment required for system installation.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring standards, and basic troubleshooting techniques is essential.
  • Experience in Automatic doors, access control systems, door entry systems, cctv systems and Electronic security systems

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
