Job Title: Mortgage and Protection Adviser

Salary: up to £40,000 Basic, OTE £50,000 - £90,000

Location: Colchester

About our clients and the role:

Swarm Recruitment is working with a well-established, growing mortgage & protection firm looking to expand their team. Our clients are one of the top brokerages in Colchester, and have been successfully helping people with their financial needs for over 7 years. Our clients have seen a huge increase in the number of leads recently from their trusted partners, so this role will not be short of great earning potential.

As a Mortgage and Protection Adviser, you’ll provide expert advice to a range of clients, helping them navigate the homebuying and remortgage process. You'll have access to high-quality leads and a strong support network to help you succeed. Salary & Benefits:

  • Basic Salary £24,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience & bankings)
  • OTE £50,000 - £90,000

Working Hours:

  • 9am-5:30pm (Flexibility required for clients) Monday - Friday
  • 8:30 start on a Monday
  • 10am-5pm every other Saturday with a day off in Lieu. (WFH on a Saturday)

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser
  • Fully CeMap qualified or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, regulations, and market trends.
  • A client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to grow

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Engage with customers face-to-face and over the phone
  • Provide expert advice to clients on a range of mortgage and protection products.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ needs and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and insurers.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest mortgage and protection regulations.
