Lawn Therapy are a well established independent lawn care company based in Walsall, dedicated to providing efficient, friendly and professional lawn services throughout the West Midlands.
We are looking to recruit a senior lawn care technician or groundsman to join our existing team. The applicant would need to be hardworking, enthusiastic and be able to work both with a team and also without supervision.

Job Role -
To provide professional lawn care services with excellent, friendly customer service.
Minimum of 1 years experience preferred (full training will be given in the event of us employing a trainee for this role).
Roles
- Driving works van on a daily schedule
- Checking health of lawns and advising customers on best lawn care practices, weed and pest control
- Ensure that customer service is of the highest level. Presenting oneself in a professional manner in company clothing, fulfilling the day-to-day liaisons with customers
- Mix and spray or spread fertilisers and herbicides using hand or automatic spreaders and knapsack sprayers for planned treatments
- Use of machinery such as aerators, scarifier's and leaf blowers
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment
- Working independently using a company vehicle
- Up selling of services
- Distributing of sales literature
- Using Tablets to complete jobs, invoice and up sell services
- Handling customer payments

- City Guilds PA1 & PA6 safe use of pesticides or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years experience within a lawn care company or similar sector (preferred)

What you should know about the job
- The job has a varied work schedule, this may include some overtime

- 37.5 hours per week over 5 days

Health & Safety
Ensure that all necessary Health & Safety requirements are fulfilled, in respect of customers, colleagues the environment and yourself.
Paperwork and Administration
Fully complete necessary documentation accurately, particularly customer payments and lawn condition reports
Working in Compliance with Legislation
Specifically as trained in the use and handling of chemicals & fertilisers.
Sundry Tasks
Ensuring all equipment including vehicles are regularly cleaned and maintained in good working order.
Assisting in other aspects of the company as necessary.
Flexible Working Arrangement
The working week is five days Monday to Friday 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.
This will be on an annualised hours contract meaning you will need to complete a minimum amount of hours per year (overtime during busy periods makes up for potential shorter working days in other periods and days when the weather does not permit work)
If we cannot work due to the weather, you may be expected to carry out the uncompleted work from previous days at the end of another working day, occasionally on a Saturday. Overtime will be required during busy periods.
Contract Term
For an immediate start with full time employment
£24,000 - £27,000 depending on experience and qualification
