Job Summary

Lead One of East Anglia's Largest Leisure & Hospitality Destinations

We are looking for an exceptional General Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of one of the region's largest and most exciting multi-activity leisure and hospitality venues.

Operating 364 days a year, our venue welcomes thousands of guests and offers a diverse range of attractions including restaurants, licensed bars, family entertainment centre, soft play, tenpin bowling, interactive golf, adult gaming centre and hospitality.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take full responsibility for a high-volume, customer-focused business where no two days are ever the same.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will have overall responsibility for the smooth, safe and profitable operation of the venue.

This is a genuine hands-on leadership role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, supporting teams, engaging with customers and leading by example—not someone who prefers to manage from behind a desk.

You will oversee multiple departments through an experienced management team while driving operational excellence, exceptional customer service, team development and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of a large multi-department leisure and hospitality venue.
  • Inspire, develop and support departmental managers and wider teams.
  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences across every area of the business.
  • Drive operational efficiency, profitability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing, recruitment, training and performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, licensing, food hygiene and gaming regulations.
  • Work closely with the Directors to achieve business objectives and future growth.

About You

We're looking for an experienced leader with:

  • Significant senior management experience within hospitality, leisure or entertainment.
  • A proven track record of managing large teams and multiple departments.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume customer environments.
  • A hands-on management style with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak holiday periods.

Desirable

  • Experience in family entertainment centres, tenpin bowling, gaming or tourism-led businesses.
  • Personal Licence Holder.
  • Food Hygiene and Health & Safety qualifications.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
  • Opportunity to lead a flagship leisure and hospitality venue
  • Supportive ownership team with ambitious growth plans
  • A varied, fast-paced and rewarding leadership role
  • Genuine opportunity to shape the future of an expanding business

Apply Now

If you're an experienced operational leader who thrives in a busy hospitality or leisure environment and enjoys leading from the front, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV and a covering letter outlining your relevant experience and why you're the right person for this exciting opportunity.

Interviews will be in two stages with the second requiring a management task to be completed.
