Overview

Dalry Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our existing hardworking friendly reception team. We are seeking a reliable individual who is flexible to cover sickness/holiday leave. We are ideally looking for an individual with previous EMIS and Docman experience. The successful candidate must possess excellent communications skills, be empathetic and enjoy working with the general public and have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Our receptionists are the gateway to information and services for our patients, visitors and professionals.

This post is permanent and part time, working 16 hours per week. If you think you have what it takes to join our team please send your CV along with a covering letter. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling and cancellations
  • Provide information regarding treatments, services, and hospital procedures in a clear and empathetic manner
  • Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries efficiently, directing them appropriately
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining appointment calendars
  • Ensure the waiting areas are tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with informational resources

Skills

  • Previous office experience is highly desirable to manage administrative duties effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly yet professional manner
  • Organised with strong attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with patients
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team whilst demonstrating initiative when required
