Full job description

Linac NDT Services is an Inspection company based in Wombwell near Barnsley. We are the largest Independent Radiography company in the UK. Due to continued growth, we require a Trainee Industrial Radiographer to work alongside our current experienced team of Radiographers.

Key Areas of Responsibility

· Assist qualified Radiographers in day-to-day testing of components using Gamma, X-Ray & High Energy X-ray (Linear Accelerator)

· Preparing Components for Inspection.

· Light & Dark Room Duties.

· General Housekeeping.

Knowledge, Experience & Key Skills:

  • Previous experience of Radiographic examination. (not essential as training will be provided)
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills are a must.
  • Experience using both overhead Cranes & Fork trucks would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work using own initiative, as well as within a team.
  • Methodical & able to follow instruction.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate shall be willing to undertake further training to the companies written practice (SNT-TC-1A).

The Package

This is a permanent role, working 36 hours per week.

The hours of work are:

Monday to Thursday - 14:00 - 22:00

Friday - 12:00 - 18:00
