About Us

Nationwide Pathology Limited is a UKAS accredited private pathology laboratory located in Market Harborough. We pride ourselves on providing an extensive and diverse range of pathology testing with same-day turnaround and excellent customer service.

The Role

Our ever-expanding team is looking to recruit a Biomedical Assistant to support Biomedical Scientists in our multi-disciplinary laboratory.

This is a full-time role with the successful candidate working Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Sample separation and preparation
  • Responding to internal enquiries
  • Assisting with basic analytical processes
  • Loading samples onto automated instrumentation
  • Maintenance of automated analysers
  • Replenishment of reagents
  • Maintaining organisation and cleanliness of laboratory
  • Handling and distribution of incoming and outgoing goods

Requirements

  • Experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting
  • Phlebotomy experience (beneficial but not essential)
  • Commitment to providing a high level of customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude with willingness to learn
  • Effective multi tasking skills
  • Able to problem solve when necessary
  • Reliable
  • Active team player

There is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to train in phlebotomy.
