Full job description

Dental Receptionist | Winton, Bournemouth
Full-Time | £12.21 to £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

If you’re looking for a role where you’re genuinely valued, part of a great team, and enjoy coming to work each day, this could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.

This is a front of house role where you’ll be trusted, supported, and given the space to grow. You’ll be working in a modern, well-run private practice with a strong team around you, a steady flow of patients, and clear systems that make your day feel smooth and rewarding.

If you enjoy working with people, like being busy, and want a role where you can take pride in what you do, keep reading.

About Us

We’re Smile Stories, a fully private dental clinic based in Winton, Bournemouth.

We’ve built a reputation as one of the highest-rated clinics in the area, with over 700 five-star Google reviews and winners of Practice of the Year at the Private Dentistry Awards.

More importantly, we’ve created a place where patients genuinely enjoy coming, and where our team enjoy working.

The Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for our patients and a key part of the overall experience we deliver.

This isn’t just about answering phones or booking appointments. It’s about creating a welcoming, organised and positive environment from the moment someone walks in.

You’ll be:

  • Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable straight away
  • Managing bookings, recalls and follow-ups
  • Handling phone, WhatsApp and email enquiries
  • Taking payments and keeping records up to date
  • Supporting the smooth flow of the day

You’ll quickly become a familiar and trusted face to both patients and the team.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1 year experience in a front of house or customer-facing role in any industry
  • A genuine people person who enjoys building rapport
  • Confident, friendly and professional
  • Organised and comfortable managing a busy diary
  • Good attention to detail and computer skills

Dental experience is a bonus, but not essential. We can teach that. Personality matters more.

What You’ll Get

  • £12.21 to £14.00 per hour depending on experience
  • Full-time, stable role
  • Ongoing training and development
  • A supportive, team-focused environment
  • Regular team events and additional benefits

Working Hours

Your hours will sit within our opening times:

  • Monday: 9am to 7pm
  • Tuesday: 9am to 7pm
  • Wednesday: 8am to 5pm
  • Thursday: 9am to 7pm
  • Friday: 9am to 3pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 3pm (alternate)

Why This Role

This is a chance to join a clinic where you’ll feel part of something, not just another employee.

If you enjoy working with people and want a role where you can settle in, grow, and be proud of where you work, we’d love to hear from you.

To Apply

Please apply with your CV and a short covering note.

Show us who you are. That is what matters most.
