Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Administrative Assistant to join our expanding team. This role involves providing essential administrative support within a busy medical practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. Previous office experience and administrative expertise are highly desirable for this position.
Responsibilities
- Managing patient appointments and scheduling consultations efficiently
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems
- Handling incoming calls, messages, and correspondence professionally
- Processing billing, insurance claims, and payments accurately
- Coordinating with medical staff to ensure timely flow of information and documentation
- Organising administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Supporting the team with general office duties to promote a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven office experience with strong organisational abilities
- Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office Suite and electronic health record systems
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
