Orthodontic Practice Full Time | 40 Hours per Week - Salary: TBC

We are a friendly, professional, and patient-focused orthodontic practice seeking an enthusiastic and organised Receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service and thrives in a busy healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, helping to create a welcoming and positive experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Managing incoming telephone calls, emails, and patient enquiries
  • Booking, confirming, and rescheduling appointments
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating practice management software
  • Handling patient correspondence and administrative tasks
  • Processing payments and managing financial transactions
  • Explaining appointment procedures and providing patient support where appropriate
  • Liaising with clinicians and the wider dental team to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Managing recall systems and appointment reminders
  • Assisting with treatment plan administration and patient communications
  • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and practice policies
  • Ensuring the reception area remains organised, professional, and welcoming
  • Supporting the team with general administrative duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A professional, friendly, and compassionate approach
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a strong team-working ethic

Essential / Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a reception, customer service, or administrative role
  • Previous dental and/or orthodontic reception experience is highly desirable and ideally required
  • Experience using dental practice management software would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of dental or orthodontic procedures and terminology is beneficial

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • One Saturday per month (with time arrangements discussed at interview)
