Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team and work approximately 21 hours per week including weekends.

Thursday and Friday; 9am-5.30pm

Saturdays; 9am-2pm

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth running of the pharmacy.

This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for healthcare and a commitment to enhancing patient experiences.

Duties

  • Engage with patients to provide information about medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
  • Manage inventory levels by ordering supplies and ensuring that medications are stored correctly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment.
  • Support other pharmacy staff in daily operations to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Customer Service; sales, till transactions, promote NHS and Private Services.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals confidently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
