Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking MHE Warehouse Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Correctly unload and store deliveries ensuring products are correctly located and pallets are accurate labelled
  • Accept product into the Cold Store and ensure the delivery meets the load/order requirements including reconciliation of any delivery notes
  • Blast freezing duties and handballing product as required. Includes the stuffing/destuffing of containers, inserting/removal of spacers and other manual case work
  • To correctly pick, build, load and despatch orders ensuring that pallets are accurately labelled
  • Carefully check pallet information including reference numbers, check digits, weights and expiry dates
  • To despatch product from the Cold Store ensuring that the delivery meets the load/order requirements
  • Ensure all tasks are correctly documented using the Warehouse System via the RF Handheld Scanner
  • Report any discrepancies and damages to the Shift Team Leader

Ensure any work completed that would attract extra charges is noted and informed to the office team

  • Monitor and report wear and tear to vehicles/racking/doors as well as to help prevent and report damages
  • Participating into investigations into stock loss
  • General housekeeping duties including stock movements and cleaning/tidying duties to keep the store efficient
  • Taking part in stock checks and any regulatory/legislative audits or customer inspections

You must be experienced in warehousing. This work can be strenuous and involves heavy lifting and movement of heavy cages, so applicants must be in good physical condition with no back or mobility problems. The product to be lifted may weight up to 25kg.

You must have at least 2-year MHE experience.

The role is based at our largest site in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. This site is close to the A1 from Junction 38 or Barnsdale Bar A639 and is within commutable distance of Leeds, Doncaster, Pontefract and Wakefield.

PAY & SHIFT PATTERN

Sunday to Thursday 50hr nights

Working 10 hours per shift with an unpaid break of 30 mins per shift.
