Full job description

About the role

Looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? Want regular work, good earning potential and the opportunity to work with an established, growing business?

KAS Maintenance Ltd is a fast-growing UK property maintenance, cleaning and pest control specialist. We support commercial clients across the UK, including hotels, retail chains and commercial properties.

We are expanding our reactive team in Wrexham and the surrounding regions and are looking for a reliable, hands-on operative with experience in pest control and general property maintenance.

The role will involve a mixture of pest control work, preventative treatments, proofing and general reactive maintenance. One day you could be attending a rodent or insect infestation; the next, carrying out pest-proofing, minor repairs, plumbing jobs or general property maintenance.

Areas Covered & Travel

The successful candidate should ideally be based in or around Wrexham and be comfortable travelling approximately 3 hours from Wrexham, depending on job requirements.

Areas covered will include:

  • Wrexham and North Wales
  • Chester and Cheshire
  • Liverpool and Merseyside
  • Manchester and Greater Manchester
  • Shropshire, including Shrewsbury and Telford
  • Staffordshire and surrounding areas
  • North West England and neighbouring regions

This is a regional role, not a fixed-location position. A willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, is essential. Longer journeys and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on workload.

What's in It for You?

  • Competitive Day Rates: Good rates of pay reflecting your skills and experience.
  • Consistent Work Pipeline: Regular work provided by KAS – no need to chase customers or find your own jobs.
  • Variety of Work: A mixture of pest control, proofing, general maintenance and reactive commercial property work.
  • Additional Earning Potential: Opportunities to increase earnings through evening call-outs, weekend work and additional travel.
  • Opportunity to Grow: Become an established member of our expanding regional team, with the potential for a company van following a successful initial period.

What We're Looking For

We don't need fancy CVs or lengthy applications. We want someone practical, reliable and confident working independently on commercial sites.

  • Pest Control Experience: Ideally experienced in dealing with common pest issues, including rodents, crawling insects and flying insects. Knowledge of treatments, baiting, monitoring and proofing would be a real advantage.
  • Pest Control Qualifications: RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent) would be an advantage but is not essential for the right candidate. Practical experience is particularly valuable. Additional training and development opportunities may be available.
  • Multi-Skilled: Comfortable undertaking general property maintenance, including minor plumbing, basic carpentry, door and lock repairs, basic roof repairs and general remedial works.
  • Practical Problem Solver: Able to assess a problem on-site, identify the best solution and carry out a professional, lasting repair or treatment.
  • Location & Travel: Based in or around Wrexham and happy to travel approximately 3 hours from the area when required.
  • Reliable & Professional: Punctual, presentable and confident representing KAS in front of established commercial clients.
  • Tools & Transport: Ideally have your own reliable vehicle and trade toolkit initially. KAS will supply or cover the cost of job materials and equipment. A company work van will be considered following a successful initial period.
  • Flexible: Willing to participate in a reasonable evening and weekend reactive call-out rota.

Hours & Travel

Work is predominantly daytime-based, with a regular flow of jobs across the region.

As a reactive maintenance and pest control business, occasional evening and weekend call-outs will be required. There will be opportunities for additional work and earnings for those willing to be flexible, travel and take on additional jobs.

How to Apply

If you're based in or around Wrexham, have practical pest control or maintenance experience and are looking for regular, ongoing work, we'd like to hear from you.

Drop us a direct message with:

  • A brief summary of your experience.
  • Your current location.
