Full job description

As a new business development manager, you'll identify business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow

This is working exclusively in B2B (business to business)

Responsibilities

  • highlight business - prospects in a defined geographical area
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • Generate leads and cold - call prospective customers
  • Meet with prospects face to face
  • Foster and develop relationships with prospects
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses services with emphasis on SMART technology
  • Create a sales pipeline
  • Use quotes per day as a key performance indicator

Salary

  • £28,000 to £35,000 basic plus commission. OTE £48 to £65k

Other benefits may include a pension, bonus scheme and company car. Commission only on contract sales.

Working hours

8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday week, though may on occasion have to work longer

Flexible working may be possible.
