Textile Operative – Picker & Mender

Location: Pudsey, Leeds LS28 6DW
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday – 07:00am – 15:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break and Friday 07:00am – 12:30pm

Band: Band 1 Basic
Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Mender to join our fast paced fault correction team. If you enjoy working independently whilst being part of a team and have a keen eye for detail; this job could be perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Inspection of pieces from Weaving
  • Correcting/Mending any faults found
  • Maintaining good house-keeping standards

Essential skills needed for the role:

  • Ability to clearly follow written and verbal instructions
  • Have a good eye for details and a high level of dexterity
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time with patience
  • The capability to remain calm under pressure
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
  • The ability to prioritise and organise your own workload

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience of repairing fabrics or sewing
  • Experience working within a textile manufacturing environment
