To support increased warehouse activity over the summer period, Envevo is looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Warehouse Support Assistant on a temporary summer contract, starting immediately and anticipated to run through to late August, with the potential for extension. This role is suitable for a student looking to gain practical workplace experience during the summer.

The main purpose of the role is to support day-to-day warehouse operations, with a particular focus on accurate picking, packing, labelling and preparing stock for dispatch. This is a warehouse support role only and does not include driving duties.

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and will assist the Warehouse Manager and wider team by keeping stock organised, supporting goods in and goods out, and maintaining a tidy, safe and efficient warehouse environment. Full guidance will be provided, so no previous warehouse experience is required.

Role Responsibilities

• Pick and pack stock accurately in line with order requirements, ensuring items are prepared to the required standard.
• Check, label and package goods carefully for dispatch, escalating any damaged, missing or incorrect items.
• Support goods-in and goods-out activity, including unpacking deliveries and placing stock in the correct warehouse locations.
• Keep picking, packing and storage areas clean, tidy and well organised throughout the working day.
• Assist with basic stock checks and help maintain accurate stock information when required.
• Follow warehouse processes and instructions from the Warehouse Manager to support efficient daily operations.
• Work safely at all times, following manual handling guidance and health and safety procedures.
• Provide general warehouse support as needed during the temporary summer period.

Role requirements

• No previous warehouse experience is required; full guidance and support will be provided.
• Suitable for a student seeking temporary summer work and able to commit to an immediate start on a summer contract anticipated to run through to late August, with the potential for extension.
• Able to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to pick, pack and check items accurately.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment and supporting changing priorities.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move stock safely when required.
• Basic computer literacy is helpful for stock updates and warehouse records.
• Awareness of safe working practices within a warehouse environment.
• Strong organisational skills and a tidy, methodical approach to work.
