Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for delivering exceptional guest services and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment, providing personalised service to diverse guests. Previous hotel experience is highly desirable to enhance guest interactions and overall service quality.

Working pattern is based on Early (7:30am - 4pm) or Late (3pm - F) shifts, based on working a 5 day week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
  • Manage guest enquiries efficiently via phone, email, or in person with exemplary phone etiquette
  • Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the hotel management system (RezControl)
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
  • Process payments securely and issue receipts or invoices as required
  • Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in English; additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Mandarin are advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using hotel management software or similar systems is desirable
  • Knowledge of good phone etiquette and guest service principles
  • A friendly demeanour coupled with a professional appearance and attitude
