Receptionist – Balmer Lawn Hotel (4★, New Forest)

We’re looking for a confident, personable and highly organised Receptionist to join our Front of House team at the Balmer Lawn Hotel – a well-established, family-run four-star hotel in the heart of the New Forest.

This is a key guest-facing role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service from the moment a guest arrives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Welcoming guests and creating a positive first impression
  • Managing check-ins and check-outs using Rezlynx/Guestline
  • Handling guest enquiries both in person and over the phone
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate guest accounts
  • Allocating rooms and ensuring smooth guest arrivals
  • Promoting hotel facilities, including dining and spa experiences
  • Supporting the wider Front of House team to deliver a seamless guest journey

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous Reception experience within a 4★/5★ hotel is essential
  • Proven experience using Rezlynx/Guestline PMS is essential
  • Strong communication skills and excellent spoken/written English
  • Confident using computers and booking systems
  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
  • A warm, professional and engaging personality
