Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the front-of-house team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, leadership, and team management to contribute to a vibrant dining environment.

Established hourly rate is £13.50 plus an average Tronc rate of £4 per hour.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including serving and hospitality personnel
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and customer flow to optimise service efficiency
  • Assist with food production tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Ensure the presentation of the dining area meets brand standards and maintains a welcoming atmosphere
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Train new team members in service procedures, health & safety protocols, and company policies
  • Monitor stock levels of service supplies and place orders as needed
  • Collaborate with kitchen management on menu changes or special events

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
  • Experience in restaurant service, including serving guests and managing team dynamics
  • Knowledge of culinary processes and kitchen operations is desirable
  • Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Familiarity with food production standards and hospitality industry regulations
