Job Title: Independent Social Worker

Location: Various Locations (Company based in Bournemouth)

About Us:
Connecting Families is a well recognised and respected provider of independent social work services, committed to delivering high-quality assessments. We are currently looking to expand our team with a skilled and dedicated Independent Social Worker who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting a range of independent social work assessments.
  • Working closely with children and families to make clear, evidence based recommendations.
  • Preparing detailed assessments, which are evidence based and promote the best interests of children and their families.
  • Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Working independently to manage a case load, while maintaining the high standard of practice promoted within Connecting Families.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and safeguarding protocols.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Social Work degree (e.g., BA or MA in Social Work).
  • At least 4 years post qualifying experience.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Strong experience in independent social work assessments.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
  • A full driving license and the ability to travel across different areas (expenses covered).
