About Hetty's Kitchen

At Hetty's Kitchen, we're an independent bakery with a big heart. We make every element of our brownies and bakes in-house, from inclusions to toppings, with a strong focus on quality, creativity and attention to detail. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dedicated Baker who cares about standards and wants to be part of a hardworking, supportive team.

You'll have professional baking experience and be confident working in a fast-paced production environment. Accuracy, consistency and efficiency are key, as you'll be producing our bakes at volume while maintaining the quality our customers expect. A strong work ethic, attention to detail and pride in your craft are essential.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, full time baking position, working Monday to Friday. Hours may vary, but you can count on sociable, daytime shifts, no evenings and no weekends, which isn't something you'll find in most bakeries. You'll be directly involved in producing, decorating, and preparing our brownies and other baked goods, helping us maintain high standards and consistency across every batch, in a clean, well-organised kitchen.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

• Bake, decorate, cut, and pack brownies, must love brownies!
• Prepare caramels, sauces, brittles, and other fillings and toppings used in our products.
• Measure, weigh, label, and date ingredients and finished goods accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic work environment at all times.
• Follow correct food handling practices and keep kitchen records up to date.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience: Baking: 1 year (required)
• Certification: Level 2 Food Hygiene (preferred)
• Professional baking experience in a busy production environment.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and quality.
• Ability to work methodically and efficiently while maintaining high standards.
• A positive, reliable attitude and a willingness to be hands-on.
