Join our forward-thinking team at Summertown Dental & Implants Practice, a well-established mixed NHS and private dental practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day running, and long-term growth of our busy dental practice. You’ll take ownership of patient care, team performance, compliance, and commercial success – ensuring the practice is safe, efficient, and thriving.

About the Role

If you are looking for your next leadership challenge, then this could be the one for you. You will:

  • Champion excellent patient care.
  • Lead, support, and develop the team, driving a positive culture.
  • Manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, training, and appraisals.
  • Monitor practice finances, UDA delivery, and KPIs, ensuring strong commercial performance.
  • Keep the practice fully compliant with CQC, NHS, GDC, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Proactively ensure issues or complaints are dealt with professionally and effectively.
  • Ensure administrative and clinical excellence by developing and strengthening standard operating processes, and advocating for solution focused approach within your teams.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Experience in management or leadership role (ideally within healthcare or customer-focused industry).
  • Strong people management and HR knowledge (e.g., performance, absence, recruitment).
  • Commercial awareness with ability to work to budgets and use performance data.
  • Extensive stakeholder management, and experience of working collaboratively with clinicians in a commercial environment.
  • Understand the business of dentistry; and have a desire to continue to learn knew skills.
  • Organised, resilient, and confident problem solver.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in dental or healthcare practice management.
  • Knowledge of NHS dental contracts and UDA delivery.
  • Familiarity with CQC compliance and inspection requirements.
  • Experience using HR/payroll or practice management systems.
