Bookings Coordinator & Medical Secretary

37.5 hours per week l Phoenix Hospital Group

Here at Phoenix Hospital Group we strive upon our excellent customer service skills. We are seeking a dedicated Bookings Coordinator and Medical Secretary to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing patient bookings, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient bookings and appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal scheduling for healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling patient inquiries.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow within the practice.
  • Assist in the preparation of medical documents and reports as required.
  • Monitor and manage the practice's appointment system to minimise cancellations and no-shows.
  • Ensure that all patient interactions are handled with professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical administrative role or similar position.
  • Proficient in using medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
