Purpose

As a Senior Sterilization Engineer, you will become a key member of our Global Quality team at BVI. You will oversee industrial sterilization and monitoring, supporting R&D, Regulatory and manufacturing operations. You will drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute validations for gamma and ethylene oxide industrial sterilization, including quarterly gamma dose audits, bioburden monitoring, and annual review of sterilization families

  • Monitor, audit, and review sterilization processes, as well as external testing laboratories and associated procedures

  • Review and resolve issues identified through sterilization, including documenting out-of-specification reports and CAPAs, and communicating risks and corrective actions to operations staff

  • Assess changes impacting sterilization processes

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliance, reduce process variation, and eliminate non-value-added activities using problem-solving, Six Sigma, and Lean principles




Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or another scientific discipline, with a minimum of five years’ experience as a sterilization engineer or industrial microbiologist, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Other degrees with relevant microbiology, biology, science, or engineering coursework may be considered if combined with industrial microbiology and/or sterility assurance experience

  • Strong knowledge of industrial sterilization processes and validation requirements
