We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at an entry-level and receive world-class training to get you on to a defined career pathway.


About You

Working Pattern

Week 1: 07:00 - 15:00
Week 2: 12:00 - 20:00

Weekend Rota:
Working hours: 08:00-16:00
Participation in the weekend rota on a one-in-four basis.
When scheduled to work a weekend, a day off in lieu will be provided during the week.

On-Call Duty:
Participation in the on-call rota is required, with flexibility essential.

What's involved

  • Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
  • Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
  • Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.
  • Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
  • Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
