Full job description

Job Summary

Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant.

Duties

  • Safely handle and restrain animals during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff
  • Assist veterinarians with clinical tasks such as administering medications, collecting samples, and preparing animals for surgery or diagnostics
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical tools, examination areas, and laboratory equipment to uphold high standards of hygiene
  • Support laboratory activities by collecting samples, performing basic tests, and recording results accurately
  • Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and general health tips to promote ongoing wellness
  • Manage patient records diligently, including updating medical histories and documenting treatments performed
  • Monitor animals during recovery periods.
  • Reception work

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week

Work Location: In person
