Salary: Competitive hourly or day rate (dependent on experience)

About the clinic

the Clinic is a growing private surgical and aesthetic clinic providing consultant-led cosmetic and reconstructive procedures across our clinics in Ascot and Bicester. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care, clinical excellence and outstanding patient experiences.

We are looking to expand our bank of experienced Scrub Nurses, Surgical First Assistants (FSA), ODPs and Theatre Practitioners to support our cosmetic surgery lists on an ad-hoc basis.

The Role

You will work closely with our Consultant Plastic Surgeon and wider clinical team, assisting with a range of cosmetic surgical procedures. Shifts are available on an as-required basis and may vary depending on surgical lists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scrubbing and assisting during cosmetic surgical procedures
  • Supporting the surgeon throughout operations
  • Preparing theatre and surgical equipment
  • Ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control standards
  • Monitoring and supporting patients throughout their surgical journey
  • Assisting with patient preparation and recovery
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Contributing to a safe and effective theatre environment

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC)
  • Previous theatre experience essential
  • Scrub experience required
  • Cosmetic surgery experience desirable
  • Surgical First Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
  • Current professional registration
  • Up-to-date mandatory training
  • Professional indemnity insurance (if self-employed)
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
