Job description The post holder’s primary duty is to provide administrative support and diary management to two DCMOs. The post holder will be part of a busy Private Office team, and the successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly to support the other members of the team, working particularly closely with the CMO’s diary manager and private secretaries. • The post holder will provide appropriate administrative assistance to the DCMOs. This includes diary management, supporting the DCMOs with the management of their email inboxes, commissioning and collating briefings from policy officials, organising local and international travel, minute-taking, processing expenses as well as general financial and IT administration.
• The post holder will need to be highly organised, have good attention to detail and the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• The post holder will support the DCMOs in the execution of their specific corporate For example, should a DCMO be the Senior Reporting Officer for the governmental Medical Appraisal and Revalidation process, the post holder will administrate this process.
• The post holder will need to establish and maintain good relationships across DHSC, other government departments and with external stakeholders.
• The post holder will take general responsibility for the processing of confidential forms received by the Chief Medical Officer and the general postal correspondence received by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer.
