Responsibilities

• Log samples onto the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Organise the storage, retrieval and disposal of samples.

The Role



The Science Lab Assistant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment and chemicals for science practical work, supporting the Lab Technician, and assisting science staff and students during practical lessons.



Duties and Responsibilities



· Preparing and clearing away equipment and chemicals for science practical work, including preparing chemical solutions and cleaning glassware

· Ensuring the science laboratories are stocked with clean equipment

· Performing daily checks in the laboratories for stock and tidiness

· Supporting science staff and students during practical lessons
