We require an all-round handy person to help with daily tasks in and around our hotel. Experience of working in this position within hospitality would be an advantage.

You are required to a flexible approach to working hours along with evidence of solid experience in this field. On call is required on rare occasions.

We are offering 40 working hours at a rate of £9.90 per hour. We welcome applicants of all ages.

About The Role

As a Maintenance Assistant at The Osborne Hotel, you will be required to keep on top of the daily, weekly and monthly pro-active maintenance of the building, as well as dealing with any issues that are brought to your attention.

You will be required to work 9 – 5.30pm, including every second Saturday.

About You

For you, that will mean making sure our residents and guests are visiting a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You’ll carry out audits and make sure records are kept up-to-date. Whether you’re replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing the timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper in one of the rooms, you’ll do so with an understanding of the impact on their stay.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, electrical repairs. You’ll also an ability to communicate positively with a guest or co-worker, while being organised and efficient with maintaining records and paperwork. A key member of our team.

About the role

We are hiring for a maintenance assistant to support our maintenance manager across 2 of our homes on the same site with various roles such as: painting and decorating, health and safety checks, ground work such as grass cutting, strimming and tidying and assembling equipment.

You will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to support the property maintenance services here at Moddershall Oaks Country Spa Retreat.

The duties associated with this position are property wide and include, but are not limited to:

1. Carry out repairs as instructed on site including painting, patch plastering, joinery, and other general maintenance tasks.

Facilities Assistant

Purpose of the role

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of site management including a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the buildings, grounds and facilities of the Charity. You will carry out day to day janitorial and DIY tasks across one or more buildings, ranging from small repairs and general maintenance to cleaning, supporting moves and basic security functions. Remit for the role covers cleaning, supporting contracts/contractors’ visits, routine maintenance and refurbishment, supporting projects, the development of new facilities, organising repairs, and advising Operations Manager of any works required in connection with the offices, buildings and facilities of the Charity.

Principal duties

Service delivery

In conjunction with the Operations Manager, be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the TEENS+ buildings ensuring cleanliness and maintenance are delivered to a high standard;

Organise waste and recycling disposal;

Order and maintain PPE stock, office supplies and consumables;

Support staff teams with problem solving of buildings issues;

Support the Operations Manager and the Centre Managers with any centre-based activities such as moves, events or maintenance projects;

Monitor kitchen stock levels, working with staff to provide shopping lists where appropriate;

Ensure all food hygiene standards are met and maintained within the kitchens, including a rolling cleaning program;

Support the centres with food hygiene paperwork;

To assist staff and students to maintain and clean laundry as required.

Communication

Work collaboratively with others to further cross department working;

Work with the Centre Management Teams to fully understand their facility needs and issues to avoid any potential disruption to operational activity as the organisation continues to grow;

Highlight concerns to Operations Manager as appropriate.
