There are also opportunities to participate in teaching and outpatient clinics. The post-holder should acquire considerable experience in clinical neurorehabilitation and neurology. Significant clinical learning opportunities are available, with weekly clinical and academic meetings, case presentations and frequent clinical teaching. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Neurologist to join our team with a view to leading and developing the neurology service offered by Fitzpatrick Referrals.

The successful applicant will be an ECVN/ACVIM neurology diplomate. You will enjoy working in a busy clinical service with a varied caseload including complex medical and surgical cases. You will be care driven, proactive and highly motivated with excellent communication and clinical skills.

Our facilities include 1.5T MRI, 160 slice CT, electrophysiology, onsite 3D printer and off-site custom implant design services. In addition we have an onsite rehabilitation service with qualified physiotherapists and hydrotherapists.

Our neurology specialty boasts over 14 consultants and is also a tertiary referral centre for sub-specialty areas including MS and headache. Our Stroke specialty has achieved national recognition for its innovative work on supported early discharge, the on-site 24/7 availability of thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy as well as its large and active portfolio of clinical trials. We are one of the Hyperacute Stroke Research Centres and serve Tertiary Neurosciences service to a population of 1.5 million people.
