School Counsellor (Part-time, Self Employed)

Oswestry School is seeking a part-time self employed School Counsellor to provide a regular counselling service which will promote and support the personal, social and emotional development and well-being of students, contribute to raising the level of emotional literacy of the school and be a first line response to mental health issues.

You will work closely with the school team to develop a programme of therapeutic interventions to support pupils, liaising with and supporting the school staff as well as parents/carers and other professionals, to ensure a systemic collaborative whole school approach to best support the pupils. Duties will also include writing session notes, planning sessions and updating the schools internal systems.

This post is on a self employed basis. You can choose your working hours but we are especially seeking someone who can work Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 4.30pm. You must have a recognised qualification as well as a proven record of counselling children and young people. Understanding of the development, emotional, social and educational issues of children and young people

Essential

Individual Counselling

Administration
